Mechelen in Vuur en Vlam

For Mechelen in Vuur en Vlam, part of the Mechelen Houdt je Warm event, we developed a complete concept for the entire evening programme. Together with the organisers, we shaped the lighting and decoration of the route through the city, so that visitors were drawn from zone to zone through one continuous story.

We used our fire decoration as a thread running through the city. Decorated trees, fire artworks on the water, garlands of open flame flowers in the shopping street and bold focal points such as the bubble tower and the fire tornado. A fire parade with rolling fire elements and mobile performers kept the experience going between the zones.

As the closing moment, we presented the Eclipse fire show in the park of Mechelen, supported by powerful light, sound and pyrotechnic effects. 5,000 people came especially for this finale. A stunning spectacle with fire dance, flame throwers and pyrotechnics reaching high into the sky, a spectacular close that sent everyone home satisfied.
